Welcoming everyone to proclaim and live the joy of the Gospel.
ANNULMENT CASE SPONSORS
Sponsors are parishioners who have experienced the Church annulment process and who volunteer to support others going through the process. They provide informed and compassionate guidance for those who seek their rights under Church marriage law. Case sponsors are trained by the Archdiocese of Atlanta and are bound by an oath of strict confidentiality.
Members assist with the setup of the church environment and hospitality during funerals. They provide assistance with the arrangements before and after funerals.
FRIENDS OF MARTHA
Volunteers help prepare food for a reception after the funeral of a parishioner’s family member. Volunteers are needed to both donate dishes and/or help in hosting the reception.
This ministry focuses on wellness in body, mind, and spirit. It is a source for health programs, support groups, medical screening services, education, referrals, and confidential counseling for individuals and families.
Volunteers serve at the shelter in Central Atlanta. Several nights each month they set up tables and cots, make coffee, greet guests, prepare and serve meals, and stay overnight with the guests at the shelter.
OUR SISTER PARISH IN HAITI
The group organizes prayer support, cultural exchange, communication, and material assistance for our sister parish of St. Martin in Delatte, Haiti.
SERVING THE HOMELESS
This ministries served the homeless living on the streets of Atlanta by delivering lunch bags every third Wednesday of every month. Help is needed to prepare sandwiches and put together the lunch bags. Help is also needed to deliver the bags downtown. Donations of food (cheese, ham, bread, chips, fruit cups and drinks), warm clothing, hygiene products and religious items are also needed.
ST. JOSEPH CAFASSO PRISON MINISTRY
This ministry responds to the needs of those in prisons throughout the State. Working in conjunction with St Joseph Cafasso Ministry, we visit prisoners, share the Eucharist, and teach the catechism. We also participate with the Kairos weekend retreats.
Stephen Ministers provide confidential, non-professional, one-on-one support for persons experiencing normal life difficulties such as loss, illness, family issues, crisis or transition. Stephen Ministers are fellow parishioners who have had extensive training in listening actively, serving as sounding boards, and encouraging and praying for their clients.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
The mission of St. Vincent DePaul is dedicated to feeding, housing and healing individuals and families in our community who have nowhere else to turn to for help. Volunteers provide assistance in the form of food, financial assistance and support. Volunteers serve as caseworkers and in the food pantry.
Coordinators offer assistance to every couple preparing for a wedding in our church. They meet with couples to help plan the ceremony, direct the wedding rehearsal and assist on the wedding day.
