July 3 | 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Joyfully sent to proclaim the Kingdom
In today’s gospel, disciples are sent out to proclaim the Kingdom through word and deed. We, the disciples of 2022 are called to follow on this same mission. After these two years of pandemic mood, we really need to reignite evangelization by word and deed again. But certainly we need to do it joyfully.
How do we verbally proclaim the Kingdom nowadays? The instructions given to the disciples of old don’t readily adapt to our modern world. And Catholics don’t generally stand on corners reading scripture or asking passersby if Jesus is their Lord.
Our proclamations don’t have to be shouted from the rooftops. All it takes to get started is verbally giving God the credit He is due. On one hand, we have to reveal to others how Jesus is active in our lives in real and intimate ways; on the other hand, we have to verbally and continuously invite others to come back closer to The Lord; that way, we are joyfully proclaiming the Kingdom.
The Mini Message:
The Kingdom is here now. Let’s begin by simply giving Jesus, our King the credit He is due, gathering His people to thank and praise Him.

Enviados alegremente a proclamar el Reino
En el evangelio de hoy, los discípulos son enviados a proclamar el Reino de Palabra y Obra. Nosotros, los discípulos de 2022 estamos llamados a seguir esta misma misión. Después de estos dos años de desánimo debido a la pandemia, realmente necesitamos reavivar la evangelización de palabra y obra
nuevamente. Pero ciertamente tenemos que hacerlo con alegría.
¿Cómo debemos verbalmente proclamar el Reino en este tiempo? Las
instrucciones dadas a los discípulos de antaño no se adaptan fácilmente a nuestro mundo moderno. Y los católicos generalmente no se paran en las esquinas a leer las Escrituras o a preguntarle a los transeúntes si Jesús es su Señor.
Nuestra proclamación no tienen que gritarse desde los techos. Todo lo que se necesita para comenzar es dar testimonio de Dios y darle a Él el crédito que se merece. Por un lado, tenemos que revelar a los demás cómo Jesús está activo en nuestras vidas, de manera real e íntima; y por otro lado, tenemos que
invitar verbal y continuamente a los demás a volver a estar cerca del Señor; solo así estaremos anunciando el Reino con alegría.
El Mini Mensaje:
El Reino está aquí y ahora. Comencemos simplemente dándole a Jesús, nuestro Rey, el crédito que le corresponde, reuniendo a Su pueblo para agradecerle y alabarle.
