Vision

Our volunteers are trustworthy members in or retired from the business world.  They are valued as worthy contributors.  All job seeking candidates will be given support where needed by our volunteers who will teach resume writing, self commercials (elevator speeches), cover letters, networking, record keeping, individual marketing plans, use of internet search sites, personal references and interview preparation, including mock interviews.  Volunteers enthusiastically support and are dedicated to the Job Networking Ministry Mission.  Volunteers share later in the celebration as candidates procure permanent jobs in their field.

Our “Mission Statement”

With distinction and commitment….

To provide all job seekers a program in a Christian environment, regardless of church affiliation, with the knowledge, guidance and ongoing support in job search programs that will enable them to find employment in the shortest possible time.  To excellence, we will hold ourselves accountable for achieving our goals of assisting job seekers in their quest

With vision….

To encourage self help and creativity on the part of our candidates as we will develop and implement strategies that hopefully achieve desired results for them.

With leadership

We will insure job opportunity for all candidates through training, mentoring and communications.

With integrity….

All candidates will be treated fairly, confidentially and with respect.

Policies

In this vision, a “zero-based” examination of previously existing policies has taken place and any old or outdated policies have been abolished. New policies are few in number, and have as their guiding purpose to demonstrate and model the mutual trust and respect expected of all volunteers. Policies are clear and straight forward. These policies include:

§          Increasing enthusiastic participation in achieving candidate’s goals by seeking to assist people each quarter of the year.

§          Enabling volunteers to have control and power over their work.

§          Enabling volunteers to experience success consistently with their candidates.

Each policy has been carefully reviewed to make sure neither there is nor will there be in the future any cultural or discrimination distinctions between volunteers and candidates.
