Building and Grounds Commission is a consultative body which advises the Pastor in areas of maintenance, repair and capital improvements to the physical plant and grounds. It also works together with the Finance Council and Business Manager to secure bids for any work that is required. Contact: Keven Carroll - 404-247-6530 The Education Commission serves the parish by fostering and facilitating the life-giving knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Catholic faith in adults and children. Through consultation with the Pastor, the religious education coordinators, and the pre-school director, and in concert with the Parish Mission Statement, the Commission offers counsel in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the parish education/formating programs. Contact: Frank Hartman - 770-475-4501 The Gospel Justice Commission serves as a communications link for the various ministries below involved in implementing the Church's social justice teaching. It also provides a forum for education and conscientization, and identifies areas of concern and new possibilities for outreach by the parish. Assisted by the Director of Liturgy and Music, the Commission participates in continuing education, in order to offer informed consultation. The commission provides a forum for communication among the various liturgical ministries and offers overall support and guidance in the area of worship. The Commission cooperates with the leadership of the existing ministries to identify social and ministerial needs, and to ensure orderly transitions in leadership. Contact: Rick Braschel - 770-442-9360 The Small Faith Communities Commission are groups of 10-12 parisioners who gather regularly in homes to pray and to reflect on the Sunday Scripture readings in order to make connections between those readings and the experiences of everyday life. The friendship and care for each other that grows in these groups brings the Church alive in a smaller setting. New communities are formed each year in January, but you may join an existing group at any time. More information can be found here.
