Other Information

  • Special Events are held on Wednesdays.  Children in our Tuesday-Thursday classes are welcome to join the activities, however, a parent must remain with them.
  • A certified copy of your child’s birth certificate must be presented to the preschool office staff when you accept your child’s placement in our preschool program.   A photocopy of the birth certificate will be kept in your child’s file and the original certified copy will be returned to you.
  • A copy of your child’s Georgia 3231 Certificate of Immunization is required by the Office of Catholic Schools to be on file when you accept your child’s placement in our preschool program.

As a small preschool, our resources are limited. Our teachers are dedicated and nurturing; however they are not trained to work with either behavioral or learning special needs.  As we do not employ any special education teachers on staff, we cannot make any guarantee about our ability to provide an adequate and appropriate educational setting for a child with special needs.  We will make an effort to accommodate a child’s special needs, however, when a child’s special needs require one-on-one supervision or assistance from a staff member, it will be necessary for the family to find a suitable alternative program for their child.

Class assignments are made based on these criteria:

  1. Currently enrolled families are given first priority.
  2. Siblings and returning families are offered placement next.
  3. Remaining openings are offered first to parishioners, then to families in the community.
  4. Each class should have a mix of girls and boys.
  5. Each class should be balanced in terms of birthdays.
  6. Requests are carefully considered, but not guaranteed. Requests for children to be grouped together are primarily for those children who do not see special friends away from the preschool.

We welcome children of all faiths to our preschool.  While we respect the various faith traditions of non-Catholic children, all children enrolled in the preschool are expected to participate in our Prayer and Praise class.  Please talk to the Preschool Director if you have any questions.
