What is Confirmation?

Confirmation is the final sacrament of initiation. This sacrament deepens the gifts received in Baptism and seals us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Prior to Confirmation, we have faith formation programs to help teens grow in their faith before taking their final steps to being Confirmed. These programs are also available after receiving the sacrament of Confirmation to help teens continue their journey to learn and grow as a disciple. Please see the prerequisites below or contact our Youth Minister for more information. Teens older than the minimum requirement and still in high school may also participate in this Confirmation program.

FAQ

Do Catholic High School students need to attend Confirmation classes?
Yes. The Archdiocese of Atlanta gives responsibility for sacramental preparation to the parish, so Catholic schools do not specifically prepare their students for Confirmation. Confirmation classes and events are required for all students, regardless of the public or private high school they currently attend.

Older Students:  Confirmation is typically received in 10th grade, but any teen up to the age of 17 or in High School can participate in this program and receive Confirmation. Current 10th and 11th-grade students are welcome to register!
